The Speed-Master ® 4500 high speed industrial door is recommended for the following applications:
- Extra large exterior door openings
- Replacement for, or used in conjunction with, existing overhead garage doors up to 675 sq ft in area
- Recommended for door sizes between 27' W x 675 sq. ft.
- Bulldog XT panel material with full-width transparent PVC vision area.
- 230v or 460v/3 phase/60 Hz 7.5 HP electric direct-drive motor with positive brake release for manual override operation.
- Operating speed of 24" per second up and down
- NEMA 4 control box enclosure.
- Roll tube/gearbox torque resistor coupler.
- Pre-wired power cord with quick-disconnect coupler from motor to control box.
- Panel reversing electric contact edge.
- Bottom aluminum profile with impact breakaway tabs.
- Patented interlocking anodized aluminum hinge profile sections.
- Hinged structural steel guide tracks with full-height nylon brush seals and anti-friction strips. Tracks painted gray.

Similar in design to our Speed-Master ® 2500, the Speed-Master 4500 features a greater motor capacity and thicker hinges to withstand the severe pressure often exerted on doors of this size.
Precise Information Processing for Greater Reliability
The Speed-Master 4500 features a solid-state NEMA 4 3-function control box with an integral pre-programmed PLC unit to control the door's logic and timing function, ensuring precise information processing for greater reliability compared to most electro-mechanical control boxes.
Reliable Performance
The rugged 7.5 HP direct-drive motor is built to offer reliable performance at up to 360 cycles per hour. It operates the door at a constant speed of 24" per second without the use of tension springs or counterbalance assemblies.
Easy-to-Read Diagnostics
The Speed-Master 4500 features an LED diagnostic panel for ease of troubleshooting and service by in-house maintenance personnel.
Bulldog XT Panel Material
Our panel material is puncture- and tear-resistant, maintains its flexibility to -20 F, and is available in a choice of three attractive colors. For additional materials or colors, contact us.
Automatic Breakaway Feature
In the event of accidental impact, the Speed-Master 4500 high speed industrial door is designed to 'break" out of its guide tracks to help prevent damage to the door panel. This feature works in both directions of operation.
Optional Wind Lock
We offer an optional wind lock on installations of the Speed-Master 4500 in high wind applications. Inclusion of the wind lock feature is not compatible with our panel breakaway feature. Contact our factory for additional information.
